We are pleased to announce that Allied Group Sales (AGS) and Total Lighting & Control (TLC), will merge effective January 1, 2018.
Over the past year, since joining AGS on January 1, 2017, Michael Knoblock, Principal and VP of Lighting, has worked diligently adding key manufacturer partners to position AGS to achieve the goal of providing its customers a full and complete lighting and controls offering, and now as a result of the merger with Total Lighting & Control that goal will be fully realized.
“This merger is very exciting for both companies, for our employees, our customers and our principal manufacturers. Our two companies hold similar values and philosophies on doing business, with an emphasis on integrity in all that we do and the importance of bringing a positive attitude to work” said Tim Klei, CEO of Allied Group Sales.
Total Lighting & Control (TLC), founded by David Breedlove in 1994, has been a relied upon lighting solution source in Arizona and Las Vegas for well over twenty years. “TLC has a team of seven highly experienced and knowledgeable associates that are committed to their customer’s success, and they successfully represent many top manufacturers in the industry including Elite Lighting and Barron Lighting Group” said Tim Klei. Tim added, “With a stellar personal reputation as a man people want to do business with, as well as building a reputation for TLC of quick quote response, quick ship, and thorough follow up, Dave Breedlove and TLC are the perfect fit with AGS and our agencies lighting division growth plans.”
Dave Breedlove commented, “The combined team will have enhanced experience and expertise as a lighting and controls team, but you can still rely on the same key personal relationships that you have come to expect with TLC. We will work even closer with distributors, contractors, and specifiers on new construction, retrofit and tenant improvement opportunities.” Dave added, “I can’t thank the entire electrical and lighting community in Arizona and Las Vegas enough for the support and loyalty you have given me and the entire TLC team for over two decades. To have lasting friendships with so many of you, I am truly blessed. I couldn’t be more thrilled then to see the Total Lighting & Control team and name carry on as a part of the Allied Group Sales organization.”
Michael Knoblock will lead the combined lighting teams, as the new President of Total Lighting & Control, a division of Allied Group Sales. Dave Breedlove will remain with the company and help with transition efforts for a two year period. All TLC employees will remain as well. The AGS lighting team, as well as all current AGS Lighting inventory currently located in the AGS building at 201 S. 28th Street will move into the Total Lighting & Control building, located at 4035 E. Magnolia St. Phoenix AZ. The AGS Electrical Sales team and electrical inventory will remain at the current AGS building located on 28th Street. We thank you for your continued support and we look forward to an exciting and prosperous future for our employees, our customers and our manufacturer principals. We will continue to communicate important operational and logistical updates in the coming weeks as we get closer to the January 1st effective date.
