My Passion: I have been lucky enough to have built authentic relationships throughout my career and I hope to build more in my role with AGS. I enjoy coming up with creative solutions and doing right by my customers and my team. I am grateful that over the years I have built long-lasting working relationships, and in a lot of instances, friendships with the people I work with. One of the things that really stood out to me about AGS is the Beyond Business initiative. Being involved in the community and impacting it in a positive way is an important value to me and my family and I look forward to representing AGS in our community in this role as well.

My Role: As Principal and VP Sales Electrical, problem solving is something I’ve always enjoyed doing professionally (and personally!) The more challenging a problem is, the more rewarding it is when a solution is found. Should any of my team members at AGS, or any of our Partners, have challenges that they could use support on, I will be there to figure out the best solution for everyone. I have never been more excited about the electrical industry and am looking forward to applying the last 13 years of my experience to AGS! There is so much opportunity in this market and I look forward to learning more about our AGS Partners and how we can help support them.

Career Background: After earning a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from ASU in May 2010, I joined Eaton Corporation as part of their Leadership Development Program and was promoted to an Outside Sales Engineer for Eaton, covering Residential, Commercial and Project Construction markets in the Phoenix District office.  After 5 years of calling on local distributors and contractors, I was then promoted to Project Sales Manager in the Houston office in 2015.  In this role I provided leadership to the projects team in the Gulf region which included all aspects of large project negotiation including pricing strategy, tactical planning, technical support, value engineering, risk analysis and of course order closing activities. While serving in this role for 4 years in Houston, I also earned a Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of Houston.  I was then promoted to Product Line Sales Manager for Low Voltage Motor Control Centers located at the Eaton factory in Fayetteville, NC.  In this role I was responsible for all aspects of this product lines sales performance, price performance, profit performance and market share performance.  After spending 3 years in North Carolina, in early 2022, I had an opportunity to move back to Arizona, and lead the Arizona & Las Vegas Eaton sales team as  Area Sales Manager, Commercial & Industrial Markets for AZ & LV.

Personal Side: Married to my beautiful and talented wife Haley and we are blessed with our amazing daughter Madison (Madi) Hegna. Madi keeps our hands full but we love showing her new things and she makes everyone she meets smile. We love to travel (most recently Spain & Portugal), sporting events, cooking and checking out a new happy hour spot. We are dog people in a big way, we foster dogs and my wife is very involved with local dog rescues. I enjoy most things outdoors, any kind of fishing, but mostly deep sea and fly fishing and if there’s ever an opportunity to go golfing, I will take it.
