My Passion
My passion is helping others grow. After more than 30 years in the electrical industry, I’ve learned a lot along the way, and I enjoy sharing that knowledge with the people around me.
I want to be the person my coworkers can lean on when they need help, whether that’s sharing a skill, pointing them toward the right resources or simply helping them work through a challenge. I was fortunate to have people who did that for me throughout my career, and I want to do the same for others while helping make AGS the rep of choice.
My Role
As Lighting Controls Project Coordinator at AGS, I bid Wattstopper controls for projects and handle inside sales for day-to-day requests involving lamps, ballasts and controls.
After more than 30 years in the industry, I bring a lot of experience to the role, but my focus is still the same: making sure our customers receive great service and have someone they can count on when they need help.
My Career
I started in the electrical industry as a delivery driver for Edson Electric Supply. From there, I worked my way up through the distributor side of the business, moving from driver to warehouseman, counter sales, Inside Sales and eventually Outside Sales.
I took pride in every promotion because each one represented an opportunity to learn something new and become better at what I do. That experience has given me a broad understanding of the industry and the different roles that make it work.
Today, I get to put that experience to work at AGS while helping the next generation of people in our industry learn and succeed.
When I’m not working with Lighting & Controls
Family is a big part of my life. My wife, Kristina, and I have been married since 2001, and we’re blessed with three children, Matt, Ashly and Damian.
We love spending time outdoors, especially camping and fishing. After 30 years of coaching football, I’ve retired from coaching and started a new adventure with my wife: BBQ competitions. We’ve even started our own team, H&W BBQ.
I also enjoy creating new dishes and am currently studying to become a culinary expert. And after going through my own cancer journey, I enjoy volunteering and sharing my experience with others who are going through cancer or recovering from it. If my experience can help someone else along the way, that’s something that means a lot to me.
