My Passion
I’m a pretty outgoing guy, and I genuinely enjoy meeting people.
For me, the best part of what I do is connecting with people and turning those connections into real relationships. I enjoy getting to know the person I’m working with, not just the project they’re working on. Whether it’s a customer, a manufacturer partner or someone on our own team, I believe good relationships make everything else work better.
I’m naturally easygoing and energetic, and I like bringing that attitude to both my work and my life outside of it.
My Role
My focus is specialty lighting and controls specifications throughout the Arizona market.
I work with architects, designers, contractors, manufacturers and our team to help bring lighting concepts from an idea to a solution that works. I enjoy the collaborative side of the business and finding ways to bring all the different pieces together.
My Career
My lighting journey started in 1996 in a pretty unexpected place.
I was a sound and lighting technician for country music legend Buck Owens at his Crystal Palace venue in Bakersfield, California. It was a great introduction to the world of lighting, technology and live production, and it eventually led me into the architectural lighting industry.
I spent 11 years with a local lighting representative, where I wore a lot of different hats and learned just about every side of the business. I then spent eight years managing the Southwest United States for a specification-grade lighting manufacturer.
I’ve had a lot of different roles along the way, and I consider that experience one of my biggest assets. It gives me a different perspective when I’m working with customers, manufacturers and the AGS team every day.
When I’m not being a Lighting & Controls Specification Sales Specialist
I’m a proud husband and dad to two amazing boys.
Our family stays pretty busy with sports. Baseball, lacrosse and hockey are all part of the mix, along with camping, exploring and finding excuses to spend time outside together.
And then there’s Disneyland.
I met my wife there in 2001 when we were both part of the Disney College Program. We fell for each other, and the rest is history. Now we take our kids back to the park every year.
I’d say that’s a pretty good happily-ever-after story.
