My Passion: Every project is unique. I love combing through bid documents to get a clear understanding of the project’s scope as well as preparing the bid.  The same is true of each day; it presents a new set of challenges, and I enjoy collaborating with the customer, factories, and other team members to come up with the best solutions.

My Role: In the Inside Sales – Lighting and Controls Position, my primary responsibility is quoting projects. Having been in the construction industry for the past 28 years, I understand how the industry works, the importance of getting back to people in a timely manner, and meeting deadlines.

Career Background: I began my career working for a General Contractor in Colorado that specialized in Federal Government renovation projects all over the U.S., with extensive Electrical and Mechanical scopes.  From there, I got into electrical contracting with a company in Phoenix, starting as Project Engineer and moving up to Project Manager.  This is where my interest in lighting and controls developed, and brought me to where I am today, in the lighting division at AGS.

Personal Side: I’m a proud father of 2 kids, who are in high school and college, and husband to my wonderful wife of 27 years.  Golf has been a life long passion since I was 8 years old.  I’ve attended several PGA events during this time in locations such as Castle Pines and Cherry Hills in the Denver area, Southern Hills in Oklahoma, and most recently the US Open in Brookline, MA.  Oh…and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve attended our famed Phoenix Open. Other things I enjoy are yard work, walking in our greenbelt with my wife, and spending time with family and friends.

Fun Fact:

I owe Jack Nicklaus $10.00.  In the late 80’s, he and his boys came out to the club where I was working in CO.  It was a rainy day; and they were the only ones out that day.  When they came in, I cleaned all their clubs and loaded them in the trunk of their car.  He asked if I had change for a 20; and I said I’m sorry Mr. Nicklaus.  You were the only ones out today and I don’t have any change.  He handed me the 20 and said you owe me.
