My Passion
I love people and I try to find a reason to laugh in just about every interaction. My sense of humor tends to lean toward sarcasm, and fortunately, most of my customers and coworkers seem to appreciate it.
I believe a good laugh can go a long way. It can make a busy day a little better and can even help defuse a difficult situation. You never know when someone might need a little humor in their day.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy watching cooking shows and historical documentaries. I don’t cook much anymore, but I love watching other people do it. There’s something oddly entertaining about watching someone else make the meal.
My Role
After 19 years as the Operations Manager at AGS, I’ve transitioned into a full-time Inside Sales role.
It’s been a change of pace, but I’m enjoying the opportunity to spend more time working directly with our customers and putting my years of industry and AGS experience to work in a different way.
My Career
I started my career in the electrical industry in 1970 as a Marketing Secretary for a leading fittings manufacturer. I worked my way up through the company and eventually became Manager of Customer Service.
When my husband and I moved to Phoenix, I joined a manufacturer’s representative agency, where I was responsible for computerizing the agency and working in inside sales. That gave me the opportunity to combine my customer service experience with new technology and systems.
After 14 years with that agency, I joined Allied Group Sales. Over the years, I’ve held roles in both operations and inside sales, including 19 years as Operations Manager.
I’ve been in this industry for more than five decades, and I’ve had the opportunity to watch a lot of changes along the way. One thing hasn’t changed: good people, good communication and good customer service still matter.
When I’m not working with Electrical
I’m married with no children, and I enjoy spending time with family and friends.
I’m also active in my church, which is an important part of my life. Whether I’m at church, spending time with people I care about or simply enjoying a good historical documentary at home, I appreciate the simple things and the people who make life meaningful.
