My Passion
I’m intensely curious. I’ve always enjoyed meeting new people, learning how things work and taking on experiences that push me outside my comfort zone.
For years, I thought about making the move from manufacturing to the manufacturer’s representative side of the industry. Allied Group Sales gave me that opportunity, and I’ve been excited about the move ever since.
I’m especially motivated by the chance to keep learning, meet new people and be part of a team with such a strong reputation in the industry.
My Role
As part of Contractor Sales, I work closely with contractors to help them find the right products and solutions for their projects.
Sometimes that means helping choose the right product. Sometimes it’s troubleshooting a problem that has already come up. And sometimes it’s looking ahead, understanding what a contractor might need before they even ask and finding a better or more innovative way to solve it.
I enjoy that relationship-building side of the job. The more I understand a contractor’s business, the better I can help.
My Career
Before getting into the electrical industry, I spent nine years in commercial printing.
In 2000, I joined a small electrical safety products manufacturer, where I had the opportunity to do a little bit of everything, including marketing, inventory control, product development, sourcing and sales. That experience gave me a broad view of how a business works and taught me to be comfortable jumping into whatever needed to get done.
After the company was acquired in 2017, I moved into a product manager role for lighting and spent a year handling national sales and product training for the lighting division.
I later joined AGS on the Legrand team in Inside Sales and Customer Support. That gave me the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of the products, learn the manufacturers’ systems and, most importantly, build strong relationships with contractors.
I’ve always believed that there’s something new to learn, so I continue to invest in my industry knowledge. I’ve completed courses through NEMRA University, participated in Legrand webinars and am currently working toward the EPEC Bronze program.
When I’m not being a Contractor Sales Rep
I was born in Michigan, grew up in Brooklyn, New York, moved to Las Vegas in 1994 and relocated to Chandler in 2023.
I’ve got a beautiful daughter and three wonderful bonus children, so family keeps life pretty interesting.
When I’m not working, I like to keep busy. I’m into sports, cooking, playing guitar and finding new restaurants to try with my family. I also enjoy gardening and tackling DIY projects around the house.
When I need to get away from it all, you’ll probably find me hiking or exploring the outdoors.
And then there’s the beach. We try to make a family beach trip at least once a year, which is something we all look forward to.
