My Passion
done and what’s trending. It also helps me relate when our manufacturers introduce new products. When something new comes along, I want to learn everything I can about it and become its champion.
I’m also a tools person. Give me the right tools to do my job and I can shine.
Most importantly, I believe in being friendly, having a sense of humor and treating people with kindness. Our jobs can be tough and stressful, but a little laughter and a kind word can go a long way. You never really know what the person on the other end of an email or phone call might be dealing with, so I try to make every interaction welcoming.
And yes, if I successfully solve a particularly tricky problem, you might just get a Glinda the Good Witch or Endora image in my response.
My Role
I originally joined AGS in an operations-focused role, but my previous experience with a major lighting manufacturer in Chicago quickly became valuable. AGS had been the factory representative at the time, so they already knew my work and experience.
I wanted to learn more about AGS’s other product lines so I could help support the Inside Sales team with inbound calls. Eventually, I took on the Lighting line, and other product lines followed.
My manufacturing background helps me understand production lead times and what goes into them. My accounting and technical experience also helps me communicate effectively with our factories and provide customers with useful, accurate information.
My Career
I have more than 20 years of experience in the lighting industry. I started my career with a major lighting manufacturer in my hometown of Chicago, where I developed a strong understanding of manufacturing, products and customer service.
I’ve been with Allied Group Sales since 2002, and I’ve had the opportunity to continue building my knowledge and taking on new responsibilities throughout my time here.
When I’m not working with Legrand
My husband, Rick, and I are committed Chicago Cubs, Bears and Bulls fans. I’m also an Ohio State fan by marriage.
Since Rick is disabled, we enjoy watching plenty of games together at home. Our two fur-babies, Dolly and Trixie, are also a big part of our household.
Between sports, family, pets and a healthy amount of home improvement TV, there’s usually something going on at our house.
