My Passion: I’m passionate about MAKING A DIFFERENCE every day in my family life, my business life, and my community life. I genuinely want to spread enthusiasm for the electrical industry, for this great country, and for life in this world and beyond. At AGS this starts with leading by example by establishing and living the AGS Vision, Mission, Core Values and Key Principles that are our company compass. Providing a safe, healthy, positive, enjoyable and highly productive work environment for all at AGS is paramount to me.  The AGS “Beyond Business” initiative is another way to live my passion at AGS by celebrating our Veterans of this great country and by remembering all those deployed today with Red Shirt Friday at AGS each and every week, and through community support and service projects with AGS team members and their families.

My Role: As a small business President & CEO, the acronym really stands for Chief Everything Officer, it certainly doesn’t mean I do everything; our awesome team does that. However, it does mean there is nothing I haven’t done or won’t do from sign the checks to sweep the floors and everything in between. That attitude permeates our entire team, as we must all wear a lot of hats; and there is no such thing as “that’s not my job”. I like creating a vision, making a plan and working the plan, and subsequently turning the vision into reality.  Setting & implementing company strategy, continuously shaping and strengthening the AGS team, working closely with our manufacturers to ensure execution of our sales plan, helping our customers reach their goals, and relationship building at all levels are the things I strive to spend my time on.  I most enjoy spending face time with the AGS employees, our customers and our manufacturers.  Behind every company name, every sales plan, and every order, there is a person, and people make it all work.

Career Background: I have been with Allied Group Sales since August 31, 2015 and initially served as the Vice President of Sales. On March 1, 2016 I became the owner and President/CEO. Prior to joining the agency world, my entire career was in electrical distribution. My electrical career began in 1993 at Fife Florida Electric Supply in Tampa, Florida. Through multiple acquisitions over the decades, including Hughes Supply, The Home Depot, and HD Supply, my responsibilities grew from Branch Manager, District Manager, Regional Vice President and ultimately Vice President of Sales and Operations for HD Supply Electrical. Having been an electrical distributor for 22 years at all levels, I understand the needs, challenges and daily frustrations that take place in electrical distribution and strive to run AGS in a way that addresses those in our service offering. In 2018, I earned the Certified Professional Manufacturers Representative designation from the University of Texas, a 3-year professional certification program for manufacturer representative owners and leaders.

Personal Side: Lucky husband of Jill since 1996 and proud father of three uniquely incredible children.  Watching my kids in their extra-curricular activities is a true joy, along with spending time together on family vacations.  I also enjoy making birdies, and eagles and hole in one’s – all of which I have done at one point – and all of which does not happen nearly enough.  Dreaming about playing Augusta National one day.

Fun Fact:

My wife Jill and I hiked the Grand Canyon from South Rim to North Rim and back. A total of 46 miles and all I can say is WOW and it’s good to be here with you all!
