My Passion: I love lighting, technology, creatively solving problems, and helping others. Originally an electrical engineer, I learned early on that I’m a lighting nerd. This fact plus my love of technology and my technical nature has made commercial construction a great place to make a career.
My Role: I manage our controls department and lighting specifications efforts. With 13 years of electrical design and 10 years of lighting and controls spec experience, I have a broad base from which to draw. My day to day can vary from a job site walk, meeting with an end user, sitting down to design a project with an architect or engineer, or giving a presentation in front of 20 people.
Career Background: I started as an electrical/mechanical/plumbing draftsman at Sullivan Designs during a little “break” from college in my early twenties. I quickly gravitated to electrical design and continued in that role for many years, while ultimately going back to ASU for my EE. Back in 2010 I moved over to the manufacturer’s rep side of the business and have been specifying lighting and controls ever since.
Personal Side: My wife and I love heading out into places unknown in our 85 Westfalia. The NorCal coast is a special favorite.
