My Passion: I’m a natural go-getter with a great enthusiasm for life. Utilizing a driven, strategic work ethic I try to create a results-oriented environment where my strong social skills allow for collaboration between direct reports to implement new strategies which create shared success. My high energy feeds on results and accomplishments achieved by our team. Integrity and honesty are two key drivers in my decision-making process. Winning is critical but, not at the risk of losing one’s self. I look for the good in people and events to help through difficult situations we are faced with on a daily basis. The strong desire to be social and in community with others drives me to place a high value on the people whom make up the industry as they are the key to its future growth.
My Role: With an extensive background in commodity sales both on the agency and manufacturer direct sales side it has provided me with a unique set of skills and experience to guide my leadership in managing the commodity side of our business. I work with all commodity related products lines, their manufacturers and strategic initiatives associated with them. It’s my role to make sure strategic goals and objectives are met for not only our manufactures but, our distributor partners as well. Through many years of working with distributors, manufacturers and agencies I work tirelessly to be versatile and adaptable to finding new solutions and mutually beneficial results or outcomes for all parties. My goal is for our commodity team to be forward looking, quick thinking, result oriented and the most reliable resource our customers and manufactures interact with day in and day out.
Career Background: I started my career in the electrical industry working for an electrical contractor during summer breaks where I learned the basics of the electrical trade. Growing up in a house where my father was very active in the electrical industry, I am a second generation Manufacturer’s Rep Agent. I started my professional career with Fields Electrical Sales in Ohio. Working my way through the ranks of the company I started calling on small to midsize distributors and quickly worked my way to becoming a leader within the Fields’ organization. While there, I represented many fantastic NEMRA lines many of which Allied Group Sales represents today. At the time of my departure I was responsible for managing key contractor and distributor accounts in Columbus, Dayton, and Cincinnati, Ohio with a focus on the commodity product lines offered. I then started working directly for Southwire as the Field Sales Representative covering Arizona and Southern Nevada. My most recent roll with Southwire being West Region, Vice President managing the 8 state West Region. During which time I had responsibility for 5 agents in my region and managed all sales growth initiatives and activities.
Personal Side: When I have free time, it is spent with my family. My wife Julia, of 11 years, and I have 3 children Quinn (15), Maddison (10), and Caelen (8). They are all very active in sports and we spend a lot of time watching their football, basketball, cheer competitions, and enjoying their school activities. I’m very involved in our local church volunteering time on weekends and co-leading a small group. When time allows for some outdoor activity fun I enjoy mountain biking, hiking and golf. During the fall and winter months we spend time on weekends cheering for The Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns football teams.
